Russia invaded Crimea in 2014 and the rest of Ukraine in 2022.
Yes, but did they have probable cause to do so?
I am not taking any sides in this war, but you have to look at both sides of the story to get the bigger picture. At this point all that war is doing is throwing innocent civilians into the meat grinder for money laundering, power, and control. It is time for this proxy war to end and peace to return to the region.
Their “probable cause” was that they didn’t like the pro western government in a former Soviet state.
Don’t be a sucker for propaganda.
No one is saying war is good. Ukraine wants the war to end more than anyone, I’m sure. But they don’t want to give away large sections of their country to a hostile aggressor.
Lying about how the war started is not how to begin negotiations to end it.
Unfortunately I am burdened with an over-abundance of self-verifiable information on this subject matter. No one is blameless, but quite frankly I believe you are under-informed.
The war needs to end. Compromises need to happen. No one will ever be completely happy with the results, but that is the nature of geopolitics.
