I was just reading a longer write-up on this the other day - forgot from who, maybe nostr:npub1k7vkcxp7qdkly7qzj3dcpw7u3v9lt9cmvcs6s6ln26wrxggh7p7su3c04l? The hurdle he (or whoever it was) used was now 50% given bitcoins annualized return.
Discussion
I’m more conservative and use a 20% hurdle rate for the next twenty years… which, like I said, I believe to be too conservative for bitcoin.
But I like to be surprised to the upside.
Ok, 20% looks more hopeful! and the upside loss between 20% and 50%+ is filled in by the love of ice cream.
I'm sure customers are not happy paying more for ice cream than 4 years ago, whereas owning bitcoin that's sniffing out inflation isn't going to offend anyone.
so maybe the strategy is to do all the planning in the meantime and maybe do this next summer.
