Im new to this, but seems like a ton of posts here are about Lightning and zaps, but that’s the least interesting part to me. The real innovation in Nostr seems to be pubkey-based identity. Your key = your identity, your follows, your posts — portable across any client, uncensorable by any relay. That’s the shift in how we do social and the concept is way more interesting to me than the zap stuff. Payments are just a feature I guess. Identity is the foundation, right? Am I missing something? #asknostr #nostrdev

Yeah, I agree. Your data not being locked in a silo and instead being your own and easily transferrable is the key. Zaps are secondary.
