Hello Nostr'ites. I read in the footnotes to a book about the Federalist Papers, of which I just cannot remember the author's name, a great little passage that conjures up the image of what America is dealing with right now. I'm paraphrasing a little, I think, but what he wrote was that there was a time when America was an Ocean of Liberty with Islands of government. Now, we've become an Ocean of Government with Islands of Freedom.

There is no real freedom. We are all slaves to the system unless we become felons and break the law.

Try not paying your property tax for a year and see how quickly the sheriff comes to your door to auction what was never really yours.

Try homeschooling your kids in some jurisdictions and see how quickly the state will step in and relieve you of "your" kids.

A little bit of plastic on the end of your AR called a pistol brace will get you 10 years in a federal prison as will a bit of steel to quiet the sound of it unless you pay a $200 tax.
