I celebrate the attack on Monero, but for completely different reason. Monero should be anti fragile, so it will end up better after the attack. It's still small and insignificant and it's better if it goes through it now.
The sad effect of tribalism and "othering" of anything that isn't BTC.

They forgot that Bitcoin is fully captured and it is a new CBDC now.

We saw a 7 block re-org and 6 block re-org which means around 12 minutes history as Monero has a blocm time of 2 Minutes.
Bitcoin had chain re-orgs as well with 2 or 3 blocks which means 20 to 30 minutes history

I wish the content I read here was, at least occasionally, about what is actually happening, rather than shouting about "shitcoiners!!", and then people responding to that (and in some cases, just as hyperbolic ranting about "maxis"!! or w/e).
Yes, that is true. A discussion focused on what's happening and on the technical aspects and implications without animosities would be much better.
But I had to get it of my chest.
Not that I think Monero is dying, or that they understand what is going on, but the general glee for the percieved downfall of another freedom tool has made me pretty disgusted lately...
Exactly. It isn't just disgusting behavior imo it's also pretty disappointing
