A political riptide is pulling us back to the terrifying depths of misogyny and racism. Like any riptide, swimming away from it before heading back to shore is the way out. We need to stop the backward momentum before moving forward again, and we need to start now. The GOP took 50 years to set us back. If that bunch of idiots can do it, smart people like us can UNDO it with a combination of intelligence AND a whole lotta South Philly-style political street fighting.
