Indeed. Claude will “refractor” every single function to a “noop” to make the build run if you let “him”

The unlocks are for less experienced devs to build things they previously couldn’t and for getting to MVP stage to test/prove demand faster.

There will undoubtedly be lots of technical debt and people or more advanced AI will need to unpick what actually happened in earlier builds.

Grift culture. Everyone always hypes the new thing for clicks.

I have to review lines of code that are AI generated with even more fine grained detail than the lines I write myself.

An argument for that it cant be overhyped, is that if Nostr manages to interweave itself into that field via tooling etc (the stacks idea, paying for AI's,) combined with the permissionless deployment into an existing network...it could be big for Nostr regardless to what extend this vibecoding thing will live up to its hype.

indeed, we are also trying to build our own version of stacks for notedeck. Making it easier for new devs to get into it and learn is the best feature

It was invented by an LLM founder to sell more tokens

This tons of downsides depends on the project.

The point is that you *can* earn time using it, it is up to you to use it or not if you consider you earn or loose your time.

AI is very useful as autocomplete and to ask questions, but it does not have the discerniment to make critical architectural and project decisions.

Don't even get me started on the security aspect...

As of now AI is a tool. I think the upsides and downsides lie in the way this tool is used.

I would not like to give up my ai assistant, since the alternative is googling stuff or reading books. It saves me some time on trivial stuff I don’t have to memorise, but giving away my agency to it is a fools approach.
