This applies to short-term games more so. Tell this to Einstein, Tesla, Edison, etc… they would’ve laughed.

Each of them discovered things that, at first, seemed to have potential — but in the long-run, the ideas grew and evolved beyond their dreams. They placed a seed into the world that blossomed MORE than they anticipated, not less.

Yes, we all are awed by imagining the flower fully blossomed. But the real awe is the surprise that follows. What you put forth… is the seed… and sometimes, that seed sprouts in way your imagination could never have anticipated.

I love this! It describes how I feel when I start a new hobby. I’m someone who loves to live in my dreams, so when I actually try a hobby the first time, it never looks how I dream it to be. Thankfully the dreams themselves are enough motivation sometimes to push me through the difficult portion.
