My guest today on nostr:nprofile1qy28wumn8ghj7mtfwdekkete9ejx2umfvahqzrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakqqgxup0q7qdfxz7mm6rm4dpr06y80lrtg22nut2n7zyacr8mp05lc3u69jf2l is John Ruddick, a member of the Legislative Council of New South Wales and the first Libertarian Party representative elected to an Australian Parliament. John brings a radical yet refreshing perspective to modern politics, grounded in a fierce commitment to civil liberties and decentralization. We explore his political philosophy, his call for dramatically shrinking government, and his vision for reimagining welfare through competition and compassion. We discussed:

* Why John's maiden speech in Parliament was banned from YouTube

* Australia's authoritarian COVID response and jab damages

* Free speech, government overreach & the limits of state power

* The philosophical roots of libertarianism: Rand, Rothbard, and Friedman

* Can Anarcho-Capitalism work? A debate on shrinking government

* Private free cities as a model for voluntary governance

* Why Bitcoin and libertarianism are natural allies
