Woah… wait, can an npub have the same functionality as a token would for voting on decentralized networks?

Ie, instead of proof of stake or vote per token in your wallet, your npub just counts as 1 valid vote per voting epoch?

But a bot can spin up infinite npubs. But you could do it in a paid/ web of trust setting like a community membership.

Hmmmmm good point, I was just thinking like how would the community vote for network changes here but it seems everything is happening at the client level is my take mostly

more like your web of trust (the people that follow you) makes a lot of difference in your voting power

How is this not an extension therefore of “Digital ID”?

Is it just a different flavor and one wherein we the people own the Id vs the govt??

I didn’t think this one through… because, as mentioned, a person can just spin up multiple npubs

But also, I don’t expect anyone to KYC which is what a digital ID is
