A client and a relay are not the same thing. A relay is essentially a server, it's just that there's no "central server", and it's function is to forward data, so it's called a relay.

I follow that. My question is more if I’m the only client connected to my relay will I see anything besides my own posts? Like is there an inter-relay communication that passes the posts between relays?

If you only connect to your relay and no other relay, yes. It will be a ghost town.

If youre connected to several other relays beside your own, will posting on your show up in the other ones?

If you are connected to several relays then you're fine. You're sending content to those relays.
