I am sorry for your condition.

And for sure it is true that our gut system does not digest fibres. Noone is arguing otherwise I think. But they are a good source of food for the bacteria populating our gut. So generally speaking they support the gut biome.

No. Sugar & grain products feed fungi & parasitic bacterias that will keep you foggy headed and sick. Anyone who has removed these things from their diet for long enough to kill said gut parasites can attest to the change in mental clarity & other health benefits.
