No it won't we can already do it now

The challenge is (which military has budget for) is extremely low latency code & absolute zero backlash on DOF's.

Low time preference 🤙

I believe there is a mostly printed open source version of that dog robot.

Here’s one. Probably needs some scaling up for the purposes referenced above. https://github.com/Yerbert/DingoQuadruped

Yet another I did not know about. Hundreds of these designs available for motivated users to construct themselves

There is and has been for many years. Many remixes of this design

If you want the ATF on you there are many FOSS(H) designs for automatic machine gun turrets with CV available you to build yourself. Strap an AR on that B and kill all who approach your doorstep without lifting a finger*.

*I do not endorse such acts of volience nor will I share the build guides and/or locations of these files for reasons of not spreading volience. I only spread Peace & Love

Seen some of the open designs for tracking turrets using openCV. Almost all are for nerf, paintball and airsoft guns, so they’re toys and not weapons. For weapons you’d need a more stable platform for heavier weight and recoil. Saw a video of one guy from a CNC shop in NY build one. As far as I know the design wasn’t released and he’s since taken the video down.

I don't really see why they need this crap when it's more efficient to shoot from the air.

We need some low-power EMP explosives to counterattack these. Lol
