I think that in the Web of Trust (WoT), if you are followed or muted by highly trusted members of the network, the change in your WoT should be more significant.

There is no single web of trust network.

Each participant should have their own web of trust. Otherwise we're yielding to mob rule.

That is what I meant. Within your own network, if someone that is highly trusted follows someone else the score change should be more significant.

This would have the interesting effect of the reply-guys and simps from the Very Big Accounts having even more myopic timelines.

Isn't this kind of like interest being earned for already owned capital in the financial realm, some kind of positive feedback?

Wouldn't it lead to trust/distrust becoming more sticky in the time domain?

I am thinking of trust as a signal of people who have proved they have valuable things to say. If they follow someone, I would think that person is also highly trustworthy.
