How far were you from the bird? It seems you had to zoom in quite a bit to get this much without disturbing it.
Spotted this little guy on a native hibiscus this morning.
It's an Port Lincoln Ringneck parrot (Barnardius zonarius) enjoying the nectar from flowers on a Malvaviscus arboreus which can be referred to by a whole range of common names - Turk's Cap Hibiscus, Mexican Turk's Cap, Sleepy Hibiscus, Lipstick Hibiscus. 🧡✨
