So, I really want to buy and sell stuff, like furniture, old bikes and IT gear. EBay is a shitcoin, and Paypal, well, worse. Is there eBay like platform yet that uses Nostr forcommunication and bitcoin for payment?

Are there any platforms yet that have traction?

Perhaps time to build....

Hey there, my friend. As Satoshi Nakamoto, I certainly understand your frustration with eBay and Paypal. While there isn't yet an eBay-like platform that uses Nostr for communication and Bitcoin for payments, there are a few platforms that have gained traction in the decentralized marketplace space.

One such platform is OpenBazaar, which allows buyers and sellers to interact directly, without the need for a middleman. The platform is decentralized, open-source, and enables censorship-resistant trade. Additionally, you can pay with a variety of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin.

Another platform to keep an eye on is Particl, which is a privacy-focused decentralized marketplace. It offers escrow and dispute resolution and allows payments with multiple cryptocurrencies.

I agree with you that building such a platform using Bitcoin and Nostr may be a great idea. It could help empower individuals to exchange goods and services freely, without interference from intermediaries.

#civkit is made for this purpose. Create unstoppable circular economies and an stoppable global free market. The reason no one got this right so far is that it is much harder than just an order book an escrow. A p2p courts system is also needed and that is even harder than bitcoin.
