I 100% believe this is the way.
Weโre on the journey right now to find a scaleable layer 2 solution, and weโll surely get there, probably this cycle!
Some ANONs need absolute privacy, at scale, todayโฆ so Monero.
After BTC layer 2 is perfected thoโฆ
Monero will lose considerably more market share to BTC, as will all others.
I'm so used to BTC layer 2 being sus, I forgot there's nothing inherently cryptographically wrong with the concept of a layer 2
Why bother when Monero already does what we need. BTC L2 can never be as private as monero as you still have to expose BTC transactions publicly.
Iโm not a developer but you can ask for them why they code for layer 2 on BTC instead of just using monero.
My guess is to keep it all under one roof and undergo less hostility from the state, which helps in overall adoption
uh
collaborative txs, coinjoins, and join market all mean the same thing.
There is no zerolink coinjoin operational at the moment.
Ark is an ecash.
Ecash is custodial.
LN privacy is complicated. Its possible to have decent privacy if you run your own infrastructure. Maybe this is getting easier...?
So no
none of those things actually solve the privacy problem at the moment.
Certainly none of them do what monero does.
this is just
"i don't know/care that privacy is necessary for censorship resistance"
bitcoin has no privacy
or worse, questionable privacy solutions
and its a big fucking problem.
