Yeah me too, it's fractionns of a penny anyway. When I first joined Nostr I thought that zapping 1sat would be insulting as I hadn't seen anyone else do it; just like tipping someone 1 penny at a restaurant would be disrespectful. I soon learnt that although 1sat isn't necessarily the norm here it certainly isn't seen as disrespectful, people are justhappy to be zapped

I don't know about restaurants, but for having played the street corner, the only insulting thing to me was people doing their best to ignore my existence. 1 cent is a world of difference, compared to nothing. 100 people doing that and I'd have a sandwich! Luckily I was hard to ignore and the location implied most people had more spare change than that 😅

I guess everyone is different, but if anyone wanted to "insult" me with a 1 sat zap, it would be their loss figuratively and literally.

Very true. The temptation to respond with a 1sat zap was high 😂

I would have tipped my hat together who whomever gets the fee! 🐧🐧

It most certaintly does add up. I've done a bit of street magic and I never go into it expecting money but it's a nice bonus if I do. I suppose it's more culturarly appropriate to give loose change to a street performer or to put the change from buying a coffee in the tip jar but restaurants are different and not a great comparison to zapping culture within Nostr. I just tend to overthink things, but you're completely right

Yeah! I guess it's a different space, with different contexts. Then again, i'm sure there is someone out there that would go berserk over something like a single sat sent to their glorious meme. It takes a bit of everything to fill a world!

If it's of any consolation, to me your overthinking makes for great conversations! Have a fantastic $segmentOf24H !
