I’ll repost this from Marty’s post because this cannot be stressed enough:

“…something comparable to WeChat in China” is a nod to how WeChat / CBDCs in China have completely enslaved and destroyed millions of people. There is a burgeoning generation of homeless there who failed to meet credit scores, so now can’t bank, can’t rent, can’t work. There are countless vids of young people living on the streets because WeChat/CBDC/Credit Scores completely, completely fucked their lives over.

Coinbase is positioning itself for this in the US. Because Coinbase is now a US Gov’t affiliate entity.

Anyone too retarded to self-custody will have to answer to their homeless children for their failure as a human being.

The US lacks the ability to force a WeChat, but may have the ability to force a CBDC. What Coinbase is doing is in no way an independent decision. Zero chance this is a non-Gov’t agenda.

Ah yes, China with some of the highest home ownership in the world has a growing homeless population because of their access to the internet yeah lol

Sounds like american projection to me.

It's always the capital of homelessness USA where people accuse China of nonsense based off their own experience of living in USA

China has very little home ownership.

Most people rent/lease apartments, and while many Chinese men claim “ownership” of a condo-like space in an high-rise complex - b/c customs strongly stress a man owns a home before asking a woman for marriage - in reality these ownership contracts are really just paper “shares” in an unlivable ghost city, and they get bought and sold like stocks here in the West.

In China they don't even pay property taxes.

A one off fee instead of paying every year.

If you become unemployed you can keep your house because there are no property taxes. A single fee paid once every 75 years.

And out of the cities, no fee for family owned lands, ever, the land can't be taken. No fucking banks foreclosing on people's farms.

But Americans will literally just tell you about USA and then say they're talking about China.

Credit scores stopping people from getting loans? Ah yeah that's USA and the west in general.

Like every accusation against china always turns out to be a confession about the west.

Americans and Eurocucks keep making up fake nonsense like this about China to make themselves feel better about their own shitshow which is significantly worse.

Imagine being so retarded that you think the government is forcing people to use wechat or that there are credit checks to use it, or that it's the only payment option.

Let’s get our man in China nostr:npub1yy3uc7y85faxy5cwq8f574yda3j9457p7r9h2ymlkwlx6lp8f4vsy4kawc in on this

Oh for fucks sake. More nonsense about social credit scores in China. People. That is not a thing.

As for the CB app, have no idea what it is but there’s no way it has anywhere near the scope of services that WeChat does.

Thank you for clarifying. We’re gonna need a new bogie man.

Hold on a sec. Who is this “Marty” you are referring to? Not Marty Bent?? He should know better. That attributed quote is complete nonsense. I live in Shanghai and none of what he said is at all accurate.
