'Rachel Bonch-Bruevich was an amateur pianist who composed and recorded a large number of ghostly solo piano pieces in the Soviet era, leaving behind an archive of home recordings, which was found. What we don’t know are the hows, wheres and most importantly whys. There’s little indication of the audience in mind, no clues towards context, or track names or the original format. Many motifs repeat themselves within her music, slight variations on the same song structures that seem to evolve over time. But it’s the atmosphere here that’s important, the sound of an artist being at one with their private surroundings, playing like no-one is listening. '

Great. The noise in the beginning is surprising. So she was also a noise artist?

I'm not sure about the legitimacy of the backstory. I think these are archives of home recordings found on tapes, so there seems to be noises from radio on there too. I would guess the 'noise' is instruments connecting to recording and general recording mishap noise, rather than intentional(?). Again, no idea how 'real' this is. Not that it matters too much if it is a fictional world set up:) imo

No idea how real this is, there's a fair amount of this fake-old stuff, not that it matters too much. I'm also not really going to investigate either lol.
