I think you are exaggerating the impact of reports. I have been mass reported many times already.. many relays deleted those reports but I still have over 100 reports made against me live on relays. That hasnt changed anything to my followers or my visibility on the public space.
Nostr.mom counts all those reports but since you are well connected/trusted it does not reject your events.
