Honestly it turned to shit. We left mostly because of the schools…the taxes were insane, we were basically paying private tuition. They started experimenting with “detracking” to make things more “equal” and it made it worse for everyone. If you questioned it you were considered racist. Even the black teachers in my kids school left and went to nearby suburbs because the didn’t think their kids would get a good education. The superintendent has no skin in the game, sends his kids to private school. And overall just getting worse.
