Our kidneywood trees are blooming again, and they have a wonderfully sweet fragrance. I never water them, and they survived this latest brutal summer, when everything else is struggling to survive. Plus the bees love them. #grownostr #trees #nature #countrylife #permaculture

I had never heard of kidneywood and went down a bit of a Wikipedia rabbit holeβ¦ this effect sounds amazing! I donβt know if all kidneywoods can do it, though itβs apparently also found in other Fabaceae plants
I've heard that it has medicinal uses for the kidneys, thus the name, but had not read about it changing the color of water. Interesting.
