Boogaloo postponed
As soon as we saw he wasn't killed I told my wife "we just dodged a civil war by half an inch".
I honestly donāt think there would be a large scale civil war. I think thereād be regional pockets of militias getting violent, potentially killing hundreds at known Liberal sites, and destroying property. But if the NPCs arenāt willing to do much about their loved ones being killed or permanently disabled by the vax and covid, I doubt theyād do much after this. So many people appear lazy, complacent, and docile.
Thereās a great podcast called āIt Could Happen Hereā about what a second American civil war might look like. Generally, no it wouldnāt be two-sides standing against each other in a large scale war. But factionalized regional skirmishes like you said. And acts of terrorism would likely play a large part. The Syrian civil war is very likely how it would look.
Also keep in mind the American civil war had a fighting force of 10% of the population. Most of the population in a war donāt actually fight. I can imagine some percentage of Trumpās far right wing of his base would be angered by his death enough to commit acts of political terrorism, which would provoke response from some percentage of the far left radicals. Things can boil into all out war very quickly, overnight even.
Anyway, it could happen. Not saying it will, but I donāt think we can say people are too lazy for it to happen. I hope you are right that people are too lazy, but I just donāt think thatās the case.
People think things are bad now. We came that fucking close to total unhinged violence and chaos. We're probably headed there anyways, but not *Today*
