Not sure if telepathy will ever be proven real but do believe that humans can do a lot more than they currently are - without crude technology interventions like implants or gene modifications.

Humanity is in it's early teenage years now it seems... thinks it is all powerful and grown up but acts self-destructively. That will change in time if we don't nuke ourselves out of existence.
