Not purity tests. Not toxicity. Not groupthink.

Just curious people debating ideas in good faith like the early days, before being nasty became a lauded value.

I’ve been chatting with old friends about the meetups back in the day, and that’s what I miss. Prior to the “maxis” it wasn’t that social or political ideas were off-limits, it was that the space felt open. Curious. Willing to explore disagreement without hostility.

Somewhere along the way, that shifted. As maximalism moved in, being “toxic”, engaging in mockery, etc. became something to celebrate. Any deviation from complete Bitcoin worship and praise of NgU was ridiculed. The culture narrowed. It became closed-minded.

And so now, with all the events I’m a part of, I will attempt to undo that. I want to help rebuild a vibe that’s open, non-toxic, and genuinely welcoming to thoughtful disagreement.

Bitcoin deserves better less toxic spaces free of group think.

Putin simply defended or took advantage of the opportunity that arose when Ukraine bombed and massacred the Russian-speaking population in eastern Ukraine for years in order to annex those lands. Was it because of the massacre of the Russian population or was it to annex the land? We will never know.

But today Trump tells you directly that it is because of the oil, and it is not just part of Venezuela, it is all of Venezuela.

Worry more about your family and your pocketbook than defending statist interests, and you will get further in life.

Money, as a concept, is not something that can be constantly reinvented. If you choose to use another product as currency to make trading/saving easier, it must have certain features. Bitcoin maximizes scarcity and the individual's control over money. We cannot accept and use 1 million currencies at the same time.

I know that calling a shitcoiner a shitcoiner isn't very convincing. But the goal is not to convince anyone anyway. All those other coins are mathematically shitty. So if someone dissatisfied with the current monetary system chooses a meme coin over bitcoin as a solution for storing value, they're not really looking for a solution. If they don't want to store value, then explaining bitcoin to them is pointless.

Most people who fall for romance scams deserve to be scanned.

They aren't good people, they're usually just stupid and horny.

People who send money to sick kids or animal shelters or whatever else like that, these are good kind people who do so out of empathy.

That's the difference.

And majority of the scammers are hungry, that's why they end up working for those gangs that organise the scams.

They don't have the opportunities to pursue better careers.

Finally making more progress on my shift from iOS to Graphene on mobile. Quite a liberating experience… realizing how dependent I was on a totally permissioned App Store.
