Finally making more progress on my shift from iOS to Graphene on mobile. Quite a liberating experience… realizing how dependent I was on a totally permissioned App Store.

The truth is nobody needs Apple to pre-approve what you can do on your property… who’s repos you can access… what software release you should have. What a dirty ruse they’ve successfully sold so many people on.

Still not fully ported but damn it already feels like I’m making progress on cleansing my soul.

interesting to try this in an old phone for test!!

Any guide or tips??

Definitely a beginner right now but the official Graphene site made it easy to flash the OS. From there, the AIs have been helpful to walk me through everything else so far. I’m trying to avoid the Google Play store as much as possible so got F Droid rolling right away.

will read and give it a try soon 🤙🫂

ohhh yes. I use zapstore 💜⚡

You don't know how trapped you were until you are free.

Legit a better UX too imo.

Totally agree on the UX comment. I wasn’t expecting that

Yeah, the app stores / marketplaces were usually the ones who want to have you grant all those permissions, it's almost never the app devs! Welcome to the better way😁

You'll be side-loading apks in no time 👍

Haha yep already side loaded nostr:nprofile1qqs24yz8xftq8kkdf7q5yzf4v7tn2ek78v0zp2y427mj3sa7f34ggjcpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hsz9mhwden5te0we5hgmmj9ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5hs5xuvdg thru Obtainium 🤙🏼
