I made it up.

Lol, I've heard that before.

A culture obsessed with sex is not having much sex. Good sex comes from intimacy, which is lacking in a self obsessed culture. An obsession with sex comes from unmet desires.

I think real sexual intercourse is the prerequisite for the deepest intimacy and many people aren't having that, in low-birthrate countries, so they're chronically unsatisfied.

Lol

That doesn't mean it isn't true, just that I didn't bother referring to any data because it seems like an obvious pattern.

I know. It doesn't mean it isn't true, but it also doesn't mean that it's true. 🤷

Providing a source also wouldn't mean that it's true. It would just make it more convincing.

"More convincing" is better than "less convincing"

The original post is actually quite convincing, but would be good to see some data/source. Often things that sound reasonable are bs

Yes, but running the numbers requires work.

That would depend upon the audience. Sometimes a statement is merely there to acknowledge something generally acknowledged to be true, so that nobody needs to be convinced.

Please let me provoke you a little: I expected more ;)

The Leserin can utilize more and less formal variations of enthymemes.

I would hate to be too predictable.
