It’s cool, you do you, I’m not trying to convince anyone. I’ve been down that road and am perfectly happy with the compromises I had to make to actually have a proper device out of the box.

Lol, where is the excuse for Android? And making compromises for it to work "out of the box" is basically the definition of valuing convenience over other things. Again, nothing wrong with it. Just don't try to justify it as being more.
