Sometimes I think I want the convenience of being able to wake up to a ready-brewed cup of coffee. Maybe an automatic, programmable coffee maker?

But no, the ritual, the routine, it is good for me. I will stick to my little pour-overs each morning.

My morning coffee time is definitely a ritual.

I Try to sit in the sun and steal a few minutes just to myself.

Agreed, Chemex maximalist here.

I almost got a chemex, but went with the Hario V60 instead. It was right sized for one cup at a time.

I also use and would recommend CoffeeShop filters. They're made out of simple cloth and last a year of daily use.
