The idea of Visa or my bank associating me with every single purchase I make sounds pretty dystopian. And they 100% do.

Hopefully you don't use loyalty cards and points with your cash purchases.
Make sure to don't park your car in the same parking lot as the retailer you're shopping at.
Also make sure to wear a mask, sunglasses and baseball cap to hide from the cameras.
If you're not doing these things, then using cash is just as dystopian as Visa or your bank.
