Find a new npub you like and put them on the appropriate list
If they are on the wrong list then you move them.
If they belong on multiple lists then you adjust
If you don't care about lists then you just follow everyone
Additionally, filters on a list by kind and/or topic. Keeps from to much list fragmentation.
Topic-specific social graphs will be needed for tailored Web of Trust - I might like your taste in music, but not your taste in coffee.
The app filters based on content (long form, just images, music etc)
If you give an app a list that it can't deal with you will be prompted to choose a different list

You want everyone to see your memes. But you want to have separate accounts for English/Spanish kind0 or long forms.
I would still want algos on top of those as well. Though.
Lists vs Algos is a false dichotomy.
Exactly. It isn't list vs algos but without a list at the base, an Algo is very very frustrating
