People should never need to worry about event kind

They should just worry about their lists of individuals and apps will show kind specific content suited for that app

Create a list of musicians and the music app with show the mp3s they post

Create a list of photography npubs and the olas app will show you their jpgs

**Event App: Happen**

Just a heads up: if you don't see an event on this list, it's probably because your app needs to update... or because you're still rocking the old-school method

That should definitely be the default.

Power users should be able to specify where that makes sense. Obv not for single note type clients.

Yes if you don't do anything they all go on your follow list

However if you don't give the users the choice for lists then the apps that do give list choice will be the ones power users will migrate to

I'd prefer sub-accounts with lists.

Some deterministically linkable back, some not.

You might want your olas friends to follow you back and be able to read all your kind0 as well. But you might not want to do that on your LinkedIn-str or Grinder-str.

Yep. And you can make your own lists.

Find a new npub you like and put them on the appropriate list

If they are on the wrong list then you move them.

If they belong on multiple lists then you adjust

If you don't care about lists then you just follow everyone

Additionally, filters on a list by kind and/or topic. Keeps from to much list fragmentation.

Topic-specific social graphs will be needed for tailored Web of Trust - I might like your taste in music, but not your taste in coffee.

The app filters based on content (long form, just images, music etc)

If you give an app a list that it can't deal with you will be prompted to choose a different list

Yup.

Would be great for bilingual usage. That's maybe the easier example.

You want everyone to see your memes. But you want to have separate accounts for English/Spanish kind0 or long forms.

I would still want algos on top of those as well. Though.

Lists vs Algos is a false dichotomy.

Exactly. It isn't list vs algos but without a list at the base, an Algo is very very frustrating
