People should never need to worry about event kind

They should just worry about their lists of individuals and apps will show kind specific content suited for that app

Create a list of musicians and the music app with show the mp3s they post

Create a list of photography npubs and the olas app will show you their jpgs

That should definitely be the default.

Power users should be able to specify where that makes sense. Obv not for single note type clients.

Yes if you don't do anything they all go on your follow list

However if you don't give the users the choice for lists then the apps that do give list choice will be the ones power users will migrate to
