It wasn't possible for the longest time, then someone got it working on proton by adding it as a non steam game to steam. Then performance still suffers.
When I say play, I mean get the same performance on Linux as you do with Windows.
You got me, I'm a Windows noob, for sure. I Haven't used it as my personal OS since 2006.
I only use it on work laptop, which is constricted by IT anyway. So, let's move on from this debate that won't result in changing my mind. If you have a Linux distro that fits, I'll be grateful to hear your suggestion. Otherwise, thanks for dropping by.
I don't. I use Linux for what it's good for. Which is pretty much anything but gaming or media stuff like video editing. I was just saying of gaming is something you want to do, your performance will likely suffer compared to a windows machine on the same game. If you want to game, I don't see why you don't just dual boot. And as far as distros go, I just don't keep up. They're all just Linux with different software bolted on by default. I just use Ubuntu LTS server for everything. So I recommend that. Because it's the distro with the most support behind it, dev eyeballs on it and most common OS. So that's my recommendation.
