Ok, so I just tested something.
You can use your Strike username + @strike.me as your LNURL. It works!
I sent 100 sats from WoS to my strike LNURL and I got more or less equivalent in dolllars. Actually $0.2 instead of $.03. So I was able to only send 73 sats back to WoS.
Shame when sending sats it doesn’t stay sats in Strike.. although I do like no fees when sending to Satscard main reason I use strike right now
Yeah, it doesn’t stay in sats. I know it sounds stupid, but if you want to be clean of any capital gains this is the way to do it and still be able to play with Lightning.
what gives you the idea it doesn't stay in sats ?
I can only see the balance in dollars. maybe there’s a way to change that but I have not seen it.
When receiving sats it has been going into the cash account (fiat on Lightning) from there you can choose to turn back into sats at least this is only way I have found
Been testing this over the last 24hours. Works great. Although the link to fiat payment rails is not present. So it is essentially just a lightning wallet. Can't see a lot of point for the tether integration. Good to have another option in NZ though.
That's interesting. I just discovered the inverse the other day. No need to 'buy' btc. If you have a cash balance, you can just pay to a LN invoice
Or to an onchain invoice
