I find night shift extremely effective

Caveats:

1) I use ChromeOS personally and Windows for work, so maybe there's some deficiency in the Apple version

2) I don't have night mode set to a schedule and keep it maximally red regardless of time/location/etc

3) I have red LED night lights in my home so I need little or no artificial white/yellow light after dark

Results:

I get tired shortly after the sun goes down, which I wasn't doing before. I feel much less eye fatique despite looking at screens for many hours.
