the best solution if you worried about this is create a new npub NOW, and post it, opentimestamp the post, maybe put it in your profile etc.. then its credible if the first one is powned.

my thinking is, if you are compromised burn the fort & place a sign. build again
Yes, but it would be devastating, especially if you were completely pseudonymous and didn’t know many people who could confirm your identity.
