Yeah but again, if people don't like it they can use another atproto client that doesn't show these ticks. Choose from iOS, Android, web. Isn't that supposed to be the nsotr way also?
People can also use an alternative X client that doesn't show the bluechecks. What is the difference?

Are there alternative X clients? I remember there were alternative Twitter clients, but I thought Twitter killed that off a few years ago.
Yes, I believe they killed all alternative clients, and that is what Bluesky will do too given enough time, judging for how they're behaving.
