Hmm where does #Primal get its "Joined Nostr on..." data from? Because it's not accurate. It says this npub joined on "Feb 1, 2023", which is not at all close lol. Data must be skewed from a few relay nukenings. Sadge.

is nostr.band right?

Nothing can be reliably right it should be called, "first seen on" since events can get lost

I always check Nostr.Band

Same, but that date is also inaccurate lol

First time I’ve heard that one. I dunno.

I know sats can be gamed so might as well be all other data points lol

Case in point I never received those sats. It was spoofed at one time during an OG Zapathon. 🤣

Interesting. I guess it would have needed the nostr.band relay used or mirrored to it from another relay for them to have the first ever kind 0 event 🤔

It seems like Nostr.band is the catch all for the most part.

Not reading you. I joined #Damus first, on May 1, 2023. I was not even aware of #Primal until a few months later, because I was getting my bearings on #nostr as a whole. I am only on iOS mobile, but thought that both clients originated around the same-ish month in late ‘22, (now that I think of it, I don’t remember when I became aware of #Primal).

strangely nostr.band places mine at the exact instance someone sent me an early lnbits invoice

Where do you even check that in Primal?? I always use nostr.band, that seems to be accurate for my first active date.

They probably get it from njump.me

That site has a bug that prevents it from properly updating profile data, and it's also the most common provider of profile information to client apps.

I use nosta.me which looks amazing, and always has up to date data.

Additionally, I use metadata.nostr.com to update my profile and to create backups. If your profile ever gets fucked up, you can swiftly restore a backup to restore it in one click.
