We can pay for a product or we can be the product that is bought and sold. I'd rather pay for the product I want and keep my privacy and autonomy.

We need to find the best way to pay developers to make great product and to pay for the relays that host our data. None of it is free and although some great people have sacrificed their time and money to make Nostr a reality, if it is to grow, these people can't carry it on their backs alone. We all need to contribute.

In the meanwhile, while we are all figuring the way forward, consider zapping your app developer and/or your relay owners.

I decided years ago, thanks to duck duck go, back when they weren't sketchy, that I didn't want to be a product of Google and Facebook anymore. And now I'm here, wanting to build the foundation of freedom tech, at least in the practical philosophical and very near term sense.

We need and open source, Nostr search engine. Bad!

That's probably way down the line...
