I am concerned about #bitcoin and would like to share my thoughts with you. There is a lot of positive news being heard about the new ETFs that are about to hit the market, especially #BlackRock. But I have concerns that this may not be beneficial for us Bitcoiners in the long term.
From my experience in the classic financial world, I know that the large providers of ETFs can exercise considerable power because they have a high percentage of voting rights in the shares they hold. If we transfer this to the bitcoin world, it would mean that BlackRock would also have significant power as they own the bitcoins and not the #ETF holders. For example, BlackRock and other ETF operators could be "Real Bitcoiners" in the event of a hard fork against us. In addition, there are certainly other situations in which they could exercise their power against Bitcoin.
what do you think about it
Holding bitcoin doesn’t give you control over the network. Noderunners decide what software to run.
