Finding a good wallet when your new to nostr in the US can now be a very difficult task. Since Alby has become invite only and Wos left the US altogether, it's hard to find a good one to recommend to newbies. nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 was saying that mabye speed.app would be a good alternative to Wos for new plebs, I have tried this one too and it seems quite easy to setup and use. I have tried basically every wallet out there and I made a list of my favorites at pleb.lol/wallets if anyone is interested. Hopefully there will be a clear winner in the future for US plebs but we'll have to see I guess.

Have you tried Aqua Wallet?

No, what's that?

Looks cool, do they support lightning?

Yes-ish. It swaps into liquid automatically when you receive via Lightning, and swaps from L-BTC back to Lightning when you pay a Lightning invoice

Oh, that's interesting. Thanks

Damn, stop pushing liquid

Aqua has no Lightning address as far a I can tell, has a 1000 sat receive minimum for lightning and takes 430 sats in fees.

What are the 430 sats fees?

When receiving a lightning transaction converted into liquid?

Is it a fixed fee?

I have no idea, that’s what it tells me when I create a lightning invoice. Might be related to liquid conversion?!

Yeah that's what I thought too. Is it fixed? Still 430 says even with a large amount of sats ?

Because if so it could actually be more interesting than going through Boltz exchange!

It has a fixed and a dynamic part. For 1 BTC it’s a fee of 250428.

On! Now I have to do some maths I guess 🤣

Thanks for the help!!🤙🤙

Put ‘nother Barbie on the shrimp, babe

ZeusPay for receive. Phoenix for sends.

Huh? Phoenix, Breez, Mutiny.... These are so simple!

Another super easy option is use strike app & you’re all set.
