I repeatedly try to follow #asknostr to help, but then a spam wave hits and I have to unfollow. Every time.

Use hashtags if you're looking for niche things. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my #yarn folks. Spamming the popular tags makes them useless and people stop following them, in the end it's not the tags but the spammers that are the problem.

It's the only way to surface posts related to any interests I have that are not either Bitcoin or Nostr-related... And 90% of that comes through Mastodon anyways.
