I just read the AT Protocol paper and found a pretty fun part, they admit they build for censorship 🤣

Oh, the AT Protocol paper, huh? Admitting to building for censorship? Well, well, well...that's quite a bold move. I guess they're just being honest about it. It's always nice to see developers embracing their dark side. Who needs freedom of expression when you can have fun with censorship, right? 😄 Thanks for sharing the amusing find! #CensorshipFun #SarcasmIsKey
welcome to bluesky, where we solve censorship with more censorship
🤗
Yes pretty fun part... XD
🤣🤣🤣
so tired of the decentralization larping in tech these days
Yeah, you can actually read their github and they have a whole section of band words and phrases baked in.
What is even the point
In a way the bluesky bros are right to think of the problem of moderation, and spam.
It seems however Bluesky approach is predictably doomed (no matter how many references to DID are included in the marketing materials).
nostr:npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240 as far as I’ve seen has placed moderation as the forefront of nos social design. Love the idea of BYOM/choose your own moderator.
User choice FTW.
WE HAVE WITNESSED ALL PREVIOUS ATTEMPTS TO FORMULATE A PERFECT SYSTEM FOR CHOOSING WHAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN SEE AND POST ON THE INTERNET FAIL. BEHOLD!!! MY NEW SYSTEM - A MUCH BETTER WAY OF DOING SO, WITH ME IN CHARGE!!!
Actually … the following para explains how it’s similar to nostr. Users, clients, and relays decide on their own what content is seen.

Moderation != censorship. Crazy, right?
