Why do we measure temperature in systems that are not appended to absolute zero (Celsius & Fahrenheit)?

Kelvin scale exists, yet I’d imagine a majority of people haven’t a clue, nor could they even conceptualize why a negative measure makes no sense.

I believe Bitcoin will force Kelvin upon the world.

Because the temperature of water freezing is what affects most life on Earth, so it's the best reference point for our puny brains.

Kelvin is Celsius shifted 273 degrees. Same scale.

Absolute zero isn't useful for talking about the weather.

Why are posted speed limits not relative to the Cosmic Microwave Background given that it seems to show what an absolute rest frame would be?
