Certainly an interesting phenomenon, but the market will probably decide that the most important use case for the Bitcoin blockchain is not NFTs, but p2p, borderless, censorship-resistant money. Meanwhile, NFTs on Bitcoin can strengthen Bitcoin's transaction fee market before the fad weakens or fades away.
They have to just be trolling at this point. The fees make it unsustainable
Ordinals are the dumbest thing to happen to Bitcoin since Craig Wright.
Ordinals would be perfect on the blocksize war fork; plenty of block space there for full size jpegs.
