Aurora is a different front end for Play Store. I haven't tried Zapstore. They could publish it to F-Droid. At this point I shouldn't chase them like that

Sorry, chase who? 🤔

Bitchat. This hostility to how I install my software is unbecoming. Usually banks and fancy mobile games cry about that

🤔 Strange. I have no issue downloading it directly from github. It shouldn't have many changes from the one available there

Zapstore helped

Hostility?

They publish several ways to get the app on https://bitchat.free

For Android you can get it:

- on the Play Store

- as an apk

- the source

- on nostr:nprofile1qqs83nn04fezvsu89p8xg7axjwye2u67errat3dx2um725fs7qnrqlgppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0h3gy93 (not listed on the web)

And you say there's hostility to how you install it?

That was what I said yes

Care to explain where it was based that opinion?

Aurora is not a different store. It's a different front end to Play Store which is how I was able to install the app. But the app itself refuses to even start because it was not installed through Play Store exactly and I assumed that it was devs choice and this is something I saw with one bank and a couple of freemium in-app-purchases games. And I find that hostile as well as surprising when coming from people allegedly cherishing privacy

But who knows. Maybe it's just an oversight. Now that I wrote that
