I get the idea, but as someone who hates social media and only uses it as a tool, this isn’t my personal gig.

I want high signal from those I follow, and I don’t want to work for someone’s attention online.

What you’re describing sounds (to me) more like those alt-reality engagers who hook you with a few little things then draw you into their creepy / artistic world-view.

And while I’m totally great with that, again…I only want social media to work for me for a few minutes a day ( a few more when I’m drunk ) and don’t want to make it my main-line.

My 2 sats, not worth even that.

If you want high signal then this is actually a feature you want (only follow topics that interest you)

Im totally in support of this idea. Especially for posts in different languages.

It’s very useful.

If some could be set private, it would help the family photo use case. If some could be invite only, could help use cases where one might want limited commenting privileges. Businesses would want this. Follow for smoothie coupons, or follow for corporate announcements. Musicians: follow 1 for concert announcements and new releases from the band, follow 2 for the lead singer's musings
