I don't think anyone goes out of their way to travel or be out around people when they are sick without good reason.

The only thing I am concerned with is what are you going to do about it? Being quietly pissed off is your own personal issue, sit & stew if that is what you want to do. But being mad at people for something that I am sure they didn't do on purpose seems pretty fucking self centered.

The point of my post is that people are not good at critical thinking. I think you are kind of proving it because you're just trying to say why you're right.

This is an incredible inversion of reality. If you are sick and you are out walking around or going to public events then YOU are the self-centered jerk because YOU are spreading it around. An activity that benefits you at the expense of other people around you, possibly thousands of people.

If you use that logic then everyone becomes guilty until proven innocent. People sometimes cough & sneeze withoht actually being sick, if every random thing is treated like an illness then people can't comfortably go about their lives in public spaces. No one should have to be surrounded by a bunch of cowards that suddenly hate them because they simply had to cough.

Your fear is your burden. People already don't naturally want to go out when they are sick.

people are free to judge you in public for spreading disease the same way that you are free to judge people for being unjustifiably scared of illness sometimes. It feels like you just want your values to be dominant not for people to be free.

Freedom ends where you start imposing costs on others. The pro-mask & pro-jab people want to impose known & immediate costs (ignoring long term consequences) on others in order to avoid any risk of some possible imagined cost. There is no way to sanely police sick people being in public, or conducting themselves in a specific way in public, so you can't fucking do it.

Would I like for people to cover their mouths when they cough? Yeah I guess. I certainly don't want people coughing on me directly, but I don't think anyone should ever be forced to wear a mask & the real world data literally shows that it accomplishes nothing anyway.

Freedom of association means that you are free to remove yourself from social situations that make you uncomfortable at your own expense.

If we stick to principles then society keeps working, if we use "emergencies" to justify any arbitrary bullshit that makes people feel better then everything devolves into tyranny.

I am not for making anything mandatory. Social pressure is exactly how this is and has been historically enforced.

I'm done with this argument, have a nice night

I'm cerainly not doing anything myself. Not even bitch about that.

I just don't think it's fair to say that it's not normal to avoid spreading germs.

it is normal. And it's why you cover your face when you cough.

the normal word is probably what triggered me 😂
